Feast of Tabernacles
Is God Saving Today?
Let’s consider the Feast of Tabernacles (in-gathering) which
takes place at the End of the Year
Le 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
Ex 23:16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
Jer 51:12 Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.
Jer 51:13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.
Am 8:2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.
Eze 7:2 Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.
Mt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Zec 14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. (God here appears to be calling for those coming out of Babylon to spiritually keep the feast of tabernacles? Which takes place at the end of the year AFTER the body has gathered in the fruit of the land.)
Zec 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Isa 63:4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
Re 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. (In the study <sealing before hurting> we saw how the <earth> is another name for the church body.)
De 31:10 And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles, (The year of release appears to tie into the feast of tabernacles and the jubilee when every man was to return to his own land and all debts were to be cancelled. <Depart out> as the Elect now come into New Jerusalem?)
Le 25:10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; (It seems prior to the depart out, the Elect were said to be in the spiritual prison that is Babylon. And God brought an earthquake to shake the foundation of this prison which allowed them to be set free).
Ac 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; (We know in other verses that God avenges the blood of the martyrs at the time He destroys Babylon).
Re 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
Re 19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
Conclusion: The Bible appears to be making the same point that only the Elect are coming out of Babylon as God is avenging the blood of ALL His servants at her hand. The Feast of Tabernacles seems to relate to the Elect body being gathered at the End of the Year. So the YEAR God had in view was the space which He gave Babylon to repent (Rev 2:21). So then there appears to be a gathering that relates to sealing as we’ve seen. Once this fruit has been gathered (sealed), then we come to the end of the year when the Elect are then commanded to keep the feast of tabernacles. The harvest that’s in view there, today, appears to relate to the unsealing of the Bible so the last of the elect might be gathered.
