How does the LAW identify with the fallen state of the Church? Let's examine.

TABLES OF STONE: TEN COMMANDMENTS – LAW OF GOD THAT IS CHRIST (CHURCH)?

Ex 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee TABLES OF STONE, and a LAW, and COMMANDMENTS which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

Ex 31:18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two TABLES OF TESTIMONY, TABLES OF STONE, written with the **finger of God**.

Joh 8:4-5 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses IN THE LAW commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

Joh 8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his **finger** wrote on the GROUND, {as though he heard them not}.

Ex 8:19 Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the **FINGER OF GOD**: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

Ro 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be **judged by the LAW**;

STONY HEART: STATE OF THE CHURCH IN TRIBULATION AND JUDGMENT?

2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in TABLES OF STONE, but in fleshy TABLES OF THE HEART.

Eze 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the STONY HEART out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

Ro 2:15 Which shew the **work** of the LAW WRITTEN IN THEIR HEARTS, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Ps 51:10 Create in me a CLEAN HEART, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

NEW VS OLD COVENANT: NEW TABLES. TESTIMONY, LAW DUE TO THE CHURCH CORRUPTING THE OLD TABLES?

Ex 34:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee TWO TABLES OF STONE like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the FIRST TABLES, which thou brakest.

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Ro 8:3 For what the LAW could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with THEM, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A NEW COVENANT, he hath made the first OLD. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Ro 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the LAW there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the LAW is the knowledge of SIN.

Ga 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified BY THE LAW (by the church’s corruption of the law?); ye are fallen from grace.

THE LAW AND THE FLESH: THE FLESH IS NOT ABLE TO KEEP THE LAW?

Ro 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were BY THE LAW, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the LAW, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the OLDNESS OF THE LETTER.

Ro 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but BY THE LAW: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Ro 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the COMMANDMENT, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the LAW sin was *dead*.

Ro 7:9 For I was *alive* without the LAW once: but when the COMMANDMENT came, sin revived, and I died.

Ro 7:10 And the COMMANDMENT, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

Ro 7:11 For SIN, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

CORRUPTION OF THE LAW: THE CHURCH, WITH A STONY HEART, DEPARTING FROM THE WORD (CHRIST)

Mal 2:8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the COVENANT of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

Ps 18:21 For I have kept the WAYS of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

Ps 119:102 I have not departed from thy JUDGMENTS: for thou hast taught me.

Ps 119:126 It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy LAW.

Ro 3:31 Do we then make void the LAW through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Ro 3:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, THROUGH THE LAW, but through the righteousness of faith.

Ro 4:14 For if they which are of the LAW be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

STONES, STONING TO DEATH: PEOPLE, COMING UNDER THE LAW TO JUDGMENT?

Nu 15:35 And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to DEATH: all the congregation shall STONE him with stones without the camp.

Le 20:27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with STONES: their blood shall be upon them.

Job 28:3 He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all perfection: the STONES of darkness, and the shadow of DEATH.

Ec 3:5 A time to cast {away} STONES, and a time to gather STONES together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

Mr 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one STONE upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

God appears to be associating tables of stones (the law) with the church. Because the law is written on her heart, she becomes the law or is intimately identified with it. Therefore, she is held under the law as long as she corrupts it or tries to be justified by it. And because the church has made void the law with her fornication, God had to provide new tables of stones (new law, new covenant, new commandment) and do away with the first law.
