Bound by the LAW
Was the Church bound be the LAW until its redemption at the revelation of Christ? Let's examine.
BOUND BY THE LAW - JUDGMENT: BONDAGE TO THE EARTHLY CHURCH?
1Co 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
Ro 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a LAW unto themselves:
Joh 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your LAW, I said, Ye are gods?
Ro 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
Lu 13:16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
Lu 13:12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
Ro 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Ga 4:24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
Ga 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Ga 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
Ga 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
Ga 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
Ga 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Ga 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Ga 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Ga 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law (not bound by the law?).
BOUND AND LOOSED
1Co 7:27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed (seek not death of the Church?). Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. (seek to be in bondage again?)
1Co 7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
1Co 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
1Co 7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
1Co 7:11 But and if she (elect) depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled <2644> to {her} husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
Ac 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Isa 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
Ro 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled <2644> to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled <2644> us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled <2644> to God.
1Co 7:28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned (married to one other than Christ?). Nevertheless such shall have trouble <2347> in the flesh: but I spare you.
Re 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation <2347>, except they repent of their deeds.
Re 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation <2347> ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
BOUND BY THE LAW - SALVATION: BOUND TO THE LAW, CHURCH UNTIL THE REVELATION?
1Co 7:39 The wife (elect in Christ) is bound by the law (unbelieving church) as long as her husband (church) liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord (elect now free to marry Christ).
Ro 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
(at the seperation?)
Ro 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man (Christ?).
Ro 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Jas 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
DEAD HUSBAND: DEATH OF THE BODY OF CHRIST?
1Co 7:39 The wife ( church) is bound by the law (law, church) as long as her husband (Christ) liveth; but if her husband be dead (Christ, Elect judged), she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord .
Ro 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Ro 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law (dead to sin?) by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Joh 11:16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
Joh 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Ro 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Ro 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Ga 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
Ro 7:9 For I was alive <2198> without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Ro 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live <2198> any longer therein?
Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime <2198> subject to bondage.
Ro 14:8 For whether we live <2198>, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
SUMMARY CONCLUSION
(1) DEATH of the unsaved church in judgment sets the Elect free to be married to Christ (salvation)
(2) DEATH of the Body (Elect judged in tribulation) means they die in Christ (find salvation) which again allows them to be married to Christ.
