How does the dust of the earth relate to the collective body that is the church? Let's examine.

DUST OF THE EARTH: CORPORATE CHURCH THAT LATER BECOMES BABYLON?

Da 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust <06083> of the earth <0127> shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Joh 5:28-29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Ge 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust <06083> of the ground <0127>, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

DUST OF THE EARTH: AFFLICTION OF THE ELECT IN TRIBULATION?

Ps 44:25 For OUR soul is bowed down to the dust <06083>: our belly cleaveth unto the earth <0776>.

Ps 7:5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth <0776>, and lay mine honour in the dust <06083>. Selah.

Da 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily {}, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

Am 2:7 (Judah) That pant (swallow up) after the dust <06083> of the earth <0776> on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:

COVERING WITH DUST: TO PROVIDE SALVATION?

Eze 24:7 For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground <0776>, to cover it with dust <06083>;

Le 17:13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.

Re 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

Jer 2:34 Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.

DUST OF THE EARTH: SALVATION OF THE BODY (NEW JERUSALEM) – DUST THAT CANNOT BE NUMBERED?

Ge 13:16 And I will make thy seed as the dust <06083> of the earth <0776>: so that if a man can NUMBER the dust <06083> of the earth <0776>, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

Nu 23:10 Who can count the dust <06083> of Jacob, and the NUMBER of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

De 1:10 The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the STARS of HEAVEN for multitude.

Ge 32:12 And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the SAND of the SEA, which cannot be NUMBERED for multitude.

Isa 40:12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended (sustain, nurish) the dust <06083> of the earth <0776> in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

2Ch 1:9 Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust <06083> of the earth <0776> in multitude.

1Ki 3:8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be NUMBERED nor counted for multitude.

Ge 28:14 And thy seed shall be as the dust <06083> of the earth <0776>, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

1Sa 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust <06083>, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth <0776> are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.

BEAST OF THE EARTH: ANOTHER TYPE OF THE UNSAVED CHURCH?

Ps 79:2 The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the BEASTS of the EARTH <0776>.

Re 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Isa 26:19 Thy dead {} shall live, {} my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Re 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Jer 26:23 And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king; who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.

Jer 36:30 Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

Jer 34:20 I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

The Bible appears to be equating dust of the earth to the collective body (church). This Body (dust of the earth) later became unclean Babylon from which the elect experience a resurrection. At the revelation of Christ, the old body is now said to be a New Jerusalem; a body which cannot be numbered for multitude.
