DWELLING SAFELY AND SAYING <I AM>: PRE-DEPART OUT?

Zep 2:15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt <03427> carelessly <0983>, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

Mt 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

The Bible appears to be showing us that the language of fleeing and dwelling deep is a command to come out of Babylon where God’s judgment comes on the whole body in tribulation. The command seems to require that the elect leave the old city with its high gates, bars and walls and to dwell alone with Christ. This ultimately finds fulfillment when Christ is revealed to bring the elect out of tribulation.
