Men of Renown: False prophets ruling in tribulation and judgment? Let's examine.

MEN OF RENOWN: CHURCH MAKING A NAME FOR ITSELF IN TRIBULATION?

Ge 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men <0582> of renown <08034> (men of the name).

Mt 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

Jer 51:57 And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.

SALVATION: GOD OBTAINING A NAME AS HE DELIVERS THE ELECT?

Da 9:15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown <08034>, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

Eze 34:29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown <08034>, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.

Ru 2:1 And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband’s, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION

Renown seems to relate to the name of Christ (men of the NAME). In tribulation the church makes a name for itself that is a false Christ and becomes famous by obtaining praise exalting itself above the stars of God. And on the salvation side, when the Elect are called out of Babylon, The name of Christ is once again in view as GOD obtains praise and fame.
