SUMMARY CONCLUSION
Bitterness or being bitter appears to relate to the church in tribulation. This would be where false prophets destroy the body of Christ with lying words. But because God had also promised to bring back the captivity of His people, the sweet odor of the gospel is once again in evidence as Christ is revealed to the Elect.
