Cleaving with Flatteries

In Da 11:34 is the unsaved Church cleaving to the believers or to Christ with flattering words?

CLEAVING: THE CHURCH WANTING TO BE IDENTIFIED WITH CHRIST?

De 11:22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to CLEAVE unto HIM;

De 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest CLEAVE unto HIM: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

FLATTERIES: FALSE ASSURANCE OF SALVATION?

Da 11:34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave {to} {them} {with} flatteries <02519>.

Ps 35:6 Let their way be dark and slippery <02519>: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

Da 11:34 appears to be pointing to both salvation and judgment. Salvation as the Elect receive help from God at the unsealing of the Bible (Revelation of Christ) and Judgment as the unsaved church continue to cleave to Christ with flattering words (false gospel).
