Could generation to generation be speaking of the existence of the church through the years?

EVIL GENERATION: UNSAVED CHURCH THAT IS BABYLON?

Lu 3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O GENERATION of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Mr 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful GENERATION; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Jer 7:29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the GENERATION of his wrath.

GENERATION TO GENERATION: FROM THE CHURCH TO NEW JERUSALEM?

Isa 51:8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from GENERATION to GENERATION (God saving a people for Himself over time?.

2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for NEW HEAVENS and a NEW EARTH, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Da 4:3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from GENERATION to GENERATION.

ALL GENERATIONS: THE CORPORATE BODY OF WHEAT AND TARES?

Ps 119:90 Thy faithfulness is unto ALL GENERATIONS: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

Mt 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the EVIL and on the GOOD, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Ex 1:6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and ALL THAT GENERATION.

Lu 1:50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from GENERATION TO GENERATION.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

The Bible appears to be associating GENERATION with the CHURCH. Thus generation to generation would be pointing to the existence of the body of Christ over time. And when we consider the gospel in the proper context, generation to generation can point to God’s judgment on the body or His mercy in bringing about a new generation from the evil one that is Babylon.
