Gethsemane
Is there a connection between the sufferings of Christ in Gethsemane and His body being subject to Babylon in tribulation? Let's examine.
GETHSEMANE: PLACE OF SORROW – CHURCH SLEEPING IN TRIBULATION?
Mt 26:36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called GETHSEMANE (an oil press), and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
Mt 26:37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be SORROWFUL and very heavy (troubled, great distress and anguish).
Mt 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even UNTO DEATH: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
Mt 24:7-8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places… All these are the beginning of SORROWS.
Mr 14:18-19 And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me… And they began to be SORROWFUL, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another {said, Is} it I?
Mt 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let THIS CUP pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
La 4:21 Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the CUP also shall PASS through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
Mr 14:35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the HOUR might PASS from him.

GETHSEMANE: HEART OF THE EARTH – BODY OF CHRIST IN TRIBULATION?
Mt 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the HEART OF THE EARTH.
Jon 2:2 And said, I cried by reason of mine AFFLICTION unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the BELLY OF HELL cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
Jon 2:3 For thou hadst cast me into THE DEEP, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
Jon 2:4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
Jon 2:5 The WATERS compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
Isa 57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose WATERS cast up mire and dirt.

GETHSEMANE: OIL PRESS
OIL: CHRIST (ANTICHRIST IN JUDGMENT)?
Ex 30:31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing OIL unto me throughout your generations.
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the OIL OF JOY for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Job 24:7 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
Job 24:8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
Job 24:9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
Job 24:10 They cause {} to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf {from} the hungry;
Job 24:11 {Which} make OIL within their walls, and tread {} WINEPRESSES, and suffer thirst.
Joe 2:24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and OIL.
Mt 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your OIL; for our lamps are gone out.
Re 18:12-13 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,… And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, AND OIL, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
PRESS: WINE PRESS, PEOPLE – TYPE OF THE CHURCH?
Joe 3:13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the PRESS is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
Mr 2:4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the PRESS, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
Lu 19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the PRESS, because he was little of stature.
Isa 5:2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a WINEPRESS therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
Ho 9:2 The floor and the WINEPRESS shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
Re 14:19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great WINEPRESS of the wrath of God.
Re 14:20 And the WINEPRESS was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
SUMMARY CONCLUSION:
God appears to be associating Gethsemane with the unsaved church (Babylon) where His Body suffer affliction, temptation, tribulation in judgment. The name means Oil Press, which seems to be relating, again, the church.
